Adriatic sea was often the inspiration for the artists an their work of arts. One of the most inspirative spots at the Adriatic coast was Venice, her small islands, bridges and canals. For example, the famous Italian painter Giovanni Antonio Canal, more famous like „Canaletto“ has painted the Venecian port in a various perspectives. Croatian painter Emanuel Vidović has painted the landscapes of Venice, as well.
The eastern part of the Adriatic coast was inspirative for painters, as well. Istrian, Dalmatian and Kotorian towns, ports, towers, belfries and lighthouses inspired painters, as well.
