Invitation to Adriatic Encounters (Split, 2016)

Dear colleagues and friends,

We are happy to invite you all to ISHA Split’s seminar Adriatic Encounters that will take place from Tuesday 27th till Friday 30th September in Split, Croatia. The topic of the seminar is Adriatic sea – rough sea“.

Even though we often consider the Adriatic sea as the one of the calm places on the Earth, it is not like that. During the history Adriatic sea was the place of the sea battles not just between pirates at one side, and representatives of the official government at the other side, but between confronted navies from the different countries, as well. They were lead by the famous captains. It is a place of many shipwrecks, from antique period till today. Its landscape inspired many artist to paint it and many poets and novelists to write about it and about people who live at the seaside. That’s why the title of the seminar is “Adriatic sea – rough sea“. The main topic is organized in 5 workshops.

The seminar has total capacity of 20 people (people from Split are not included in this number).  The participation fee of 50 euros/375 kunas will include a three-day accommodation with all three meals per day, half-day trip to Klis and all of the sightseeing.
